May 9, 2005 - "Playing Soccer is Fun!" is an iParenting Media HOT Award Winner!.

iParenting Media evaluates children's media and juvenile products using the expertise of licensed childcare centers, experts and parents nationwide. Their objective is to find the best products, recognize them with their award and deliver insightful feedback to all submissions. iParenting's feedback is as follows:

  • The positive characteristics of this DVD was that it used the character Jimmy Sport. The children became more interested once he appeared. I liked how the DVD shows how sports can be made fun.
  • The interaction outside was especially appealing to my son. He was excited to actually see the kids run around outside. He's familiar with soccer balls and was excited to see them and learn more. I think this is a good, basic tool for teaching kids about soccer.
  • This is a great DVD for kids who already have an interest in soccer and to spark an interest in those that don't. The setting, situations and dialogue seemed very believable. The addition of Jimmy Sport makes this different from most sport-related instructional videos. Teamwork is emphasized, as well as basic skills and exercise.
    • April 18, 2005 - "Playing Soccer is Fun!" is rated 'family-friendly' by The Dove Foundation.

    THE DOVE FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization established to encourage and promote the creation, production and distribution of wholesome family entertainment. The Foundation, free from commercial pressures, awards a blue and white Dove Seal to any movie or video that is rated "family-friendly" by its film review board.     April 1, 2005 - Jimmy Sport is the latest Telly Award winner!

    The Telly Awards was founded in 1978 by David E. Carter, a past Emmy and ClioŽ winner, to honor excellence in local, regional and cable TV commercials. Non-broadcast video and TV program categories were soon added. Today, the Telly is one of the most sought-after awards by industry leaders, from large international firms to local production companies and ad agencies.

    July 20, 2004 - Come join Jimmy Sport at Boo! at the Zoo!

    On October 30th and 31st, Jimmy Sport will participate at the "Boo! at the Zoo" festivities at the Phoenix Zoo.     July 18, 2004 - Jimmy Sport is about to release his first video!

    The first video release in Jimmy's "Playing Sports is Fun!" video series will teach youngsters the beginnings of soccer and is due to be released on 10/31/04.
